Waste Management System Design for the State Prison Naklo in Bosnia Hetzegovina SC Waste Management Limited has just been appointed as a sub consultant to WYG International to provide consulting services on a project in Bosnia Herzegovina. The project is the design and construction of a new maximum security state prison with the Republika Srpska region of the country and near to the village of Naklo.

The main task of the company is to lead the preparation, review and analysis of the Designs in regards to all sub-sectors of Mechanical engineering and more specifically a sustainable solid waste concept for the prison.

The prison is actually at the planning phase at the moment and there was a requirement to provide detailed design input for the waste management infrastructure required for such a facility. Scott Crossett travelled to Sarajevo to participate in a project led workshop and provide input to the design teams on the waste management requirements and technical specifications of the equipment required.

The photographs below show the site as it is currently with only the actual prison wall having been constructed.

SC Waste Management Limited will continue to provide input in the project over the coming months and it is hoped that this will lead to further consulting opportunities both in this project and in other similar projects across the region. For more information on the project click here.
